I’m excited to endorse my friend Dan Engelhart for MPRB district 1, and I am so glad that he is running!

Dan is someone who shows up. He knocks doors for candidates across the state, he walks picket lines, he works to make our party more inclusive, and he shows up for his Northeast neighbors, whenever they need him.

In my role at the legislature I rely on strong, principled leaders at all levels of government to partner with on the hard work of using our public resources in the fight for equity and justice. I believe Dan is such a leader and partner.

I know Dan has the experience, the skills and the dedication to work together for a better city for all our neighbors. Please join me in supporting him!

I’m excited to endorse Dan. He genuinely cares about creating parks and programs that everyone in Minneapolis can use and enjoy. He’s built his leadership as a union negotiator and grassroots organizer, and shows up with honesty, cooperation, and real dedication to improving our public spaces.

Dan has the knowledge, attention to detail, and community focus needed to make a great Park Board Commissioner. Our wonderful parks deserve experienced leaders like Dan who can effectively steward our best in the nation system.

I’m supporting Dan Engelhart because I know he will be a climate champion on the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board. Dan recognizes that it’s critical for MPRB to do its part to achieve our city’s climate action goals, especially when it comes to reducing Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) and supporting better infrastructure for public transit, biking, and walking. Dan has been actively involved in our parks for years through his role on the Above the Falls Citizen Advisory Committee (AFCAC), and I know he will work tirelessly to expand our park land along the riverfront and to connect the Missing Link of the Grand Rounds.

I’m proud to endorse Dan Engelhart because he lives his morals. He stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the park workers during our historic strike. On our first day Dan saw that we were fumbling with the mega phone and hopped in. He taught us chants that we used with him the for entirety of our 22 day long strike. Dan is a strong supporter of the working class!  Every day Dan pushes for better living conditions with union members and their right to organize. Dan is a supporter of the environment that wants to leave this planet in a liveable condition for future generations to come. I believe Dan will be a remarkable park commissioner that will fight for everyone.
